The "Lady Jean" family descends through the cow White Way Xenia Mona Lady who produced the former national yearling milk champion Welcome Lady Jean when mated with Welcome Volunteer.  High Lawn purchased the bull
Welcome Volunteer
and his daughter, Welcome Lady Jean from Victory Farm in Texas.  Mr. Chester Elliff, owner of Victory Farm accompanied the cattle on the voyage across country to Massachusetts.  Near Pittsburg, Pennsylvania, Welcome Lady Jean gave birth to Observer Signal Lady Jean by Observer Blondes Signal.
At High Lawn Observer Signal Lady Jean became a favorite.  She was classified "very good" and produced 3946 lbs. butterfat lifetime.  She became a tested dam on one son, Secret Signal Observer, and three daughters.
In the year 2000 every bull on the American Jersey Cattle Association's Top 100 PTI list traces to Observer Signal Lady Jean.  Every cow on the Top 200 PTI list traces to her, also.
The high selling female of the 2000 Cedarcrest Farm Sale as well as the high selling female of the 1999 All American Jersey Sale were sired by H L Peter Rudolf, whose dam is a direct maternal descendant of Observer Signal Lady Jean.  The dam of H L Lester Pointer, currently in active service in the USA in 2000, is also a direct maternal descendant.

Currently, Observer Signal Lady Jean has been nominated in the Jersey Journal Great Cow Contest 2000.
